About the editor

Rupert Ashcombe grew up in Bath and spent four years in the compliance team of a high-street bookmaker, checking promotional terms against UK Gambling Commission rules before they went live. He has written about online casinos since 2017, focusing on wagering maths, withdrawal times and how fairly operators treat British players. Rupert personally funds every test account, keeps a spreadsheet of each cash-out he requests, and signs off every review on UKReview.sbs before it is published.

Why we are called UKReview.sbs

The name says what the site is for: honest reviews for British players. A welcome package, a free spins offer or a deposit match is the first thing most players go looking for, and it is also where the gap between the headline and the fine print is widest. UKReview.sbs exists to close that gap: we read the terms, we do the wagering maths, we play the offer through and we cash out, then we publish what actually happened.

Everything on the site is organised around that idea, from our best online casino ranking and our free bonus guide to the online slots reviews, live casino testing and the payout speed measurements.

Responsible for editorial content: Rupert Ashcombe, Editor-in-Chief. If you spot an error, an outdated bonus or a term that no longer matches what the operator publishes, please tell us and we will correct it.

How we review

Every casino we cover is opened as a normal player account and funded with our own money. We verify the operator's UK Gambling Commission licence on the public register before anything else, then claim the welcome offer, play through it, request withdrawals and time how long they actually take, and contact support at different hours of the day and night. Scores are based on bonus terms, game selection, safety and licensing, withdrawal speed and support quality.

We only list operators licensed by the UK Gambling Commission. Bonus amounts, wagering requirements and payment methods change frequently. We re-check the operators we list monthly, but the operator's own terms and conditions always take precedence over anything published here.

Affiliate links

Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and later register or make a transaction with the operator, the owner of this site may receive a commission. This costs you nothing extra and does not change the bonus you receive. Commercial arrangements have no influence on our ratings or on the order in which operators appear.
